Forbes list of Most Powerful Women in the World 2025 has her at #23! That is truly an incredible accomplishment worthy of way more than just one Opus One!

February. Live and Let Die.

March. The Tepper Network.  Enjoyed meeting many alums – including my PhD students Jay, John and Pinar – and celebrating 75h Anniversary of the GSIA (now Tepper).

April.  Sridhara Samhita: Celebrating the collection of eight papers – OrganJet, Nudge Videos, Split Liver Transplantation, Dynamic Exception Points, Implementing Innovations – on Organ Transplantation. Second Kedia-Tayur Distinguished Lecture on South Asian American History: transcript here on SAADA. (thanks Nico and Samip.)  Engaged Scholarship. Really appreciate receiving the Spisak Award. Thank you Aydin! The Importance of Being Skeptical. Channeling Bertrand Russell, and employing Harry Frankfurter’s On Bullshit, my essay: Can AI really transform Real-World Supply Chains anytime soon? Update. WOW was a wonderful conference on AI and Supply Chains, and I recently received the hardcopy of the edited volume with my essay as the closing chapter! Great job Maxime and Tinglong. And, on PBS (available until April 5, 2028), you can watch the documentary film, my third as an Executive Producer, and, yes, Congratulations to Laura and Tjardus:

May. We Won! This was the most unexpectedly startling news of the year. Update: We have now received the (previously sealed and confidential) materials and so can complete the documentary film Broken. I just viewed a rough cut of the first two acts. Looking forward to the completed documentary soon. Great job Bill and Brooke! Fun, Fun Fun. F1 in Miami. McLaren dominates!

June. The Unbelievable Luckiness of Being. My 60th birthday celebration in Cambridge. Thank you Feryal, Tinglong, Jay, Roman, John, Vince and Kyra (and also to all others, who attended and participated, including Holly, David, Stelios, Wedad, Senthil, Saif, Houhuan, Stefan, and to  Cambridge Judge School for hosting) for such an unforgettable experience, particularly the dinner at Christ College (The Man who Loves Zeroes). And at MSOM dinner, a couple of days later, we managed to get an impromptu group photo of part of my Academic Family!

Update. Congratulations to Ram on the runaway success of your ACE book (see Ace Venture) and to Chander for your book (that I enjoyed reading pre-release, hence my enthusiastic blurb!) that is now available, The Business of Quantum Technologies.

To help INFORMS community quickly become comfortable with Quantum Computing, Arul and I created a TutORial as well that I presented at the conference. GenEx. How can Generative AI couple with Expert Feedback to improve personalized dosing? Congratulations Satyam for being recognized in the HAS Student Paper competition.

September. A Suite with a View. Enjoyed being on the Quantum + Healthcare panel. Next up, yes, on to the big leagues, with 150,000+ attendees: CES in Las Vegas (January 6-9, 2026). One Birthday after Another. Congratulations Suresh on being such a youthful 80 year-old! October. Three Announcements! Tayur Poetry Fund (in addition to supporting International Poetry Forum) announced (Thanks Jake). Highmark to acquire HVHS. Google acquires Atlantic Quantum (a Neotribe investment). November. Chasing BLLN. Exceptional well executed! (You know I love Liquid Biopsy!) IPO values Neotribe‘s $24 million (2019-2022) investment at $420 million. (Congrats Kittu!). Salaam NYC! Announcing a seed gift to SAADA to build a MVP for Encyclopedia of South Asian American History. December. A Lane to Classicality. Introducing Logarithmic Spectral Deformation (LSD!): Academic Hedonism in action! I am exploring what LSD might mean to Theoretical Physics, not just to QFT, but also to Quantum Cosmology, and whether it can provide some novel insights into some perplexing puzzles, including Neutrino Mass and Vacuum Energy, that can be Experimentally Tested. Am I Tripping?

So looking forward to attending – and of course, participating! – in my first CES in early January to discuss Quantum+Health. Of course, I will be staying at Four Seasons (having stayed in Miami, Prague, Bengaluru and New York in 2025; London and Paris in 2024). Happy New Year!
